5 New Year's Resolutions to Delay Aging

5 New Year's Resolutions to Delay Aging

During the span of Christmas Eve to New Year, we all plead guilty to letting go of all the restrictions we imposed on ourselves. Raise your hand if you did any of the following bad holiday habits:
  • Overeating, particularly unhealthy foods
  • Sacrificed Sleep
  • Excessive Alcohol Consumption
  • Ditching Exercise, Oral Care, & Skincare
  • Neglecting Mental Health

No need to feel ashamed, it's okay to savor the time that comes around just once a year. But we have to keep in mind of the negative effects that takes longer to reverse, especially as we age! So take this opportunity to wipe the slate clean and bounce back to a healthier version of you this 2024.

From skincare to mental and physical health, here's how to be healthier and feel naturally beautiful without regretting your decisions last year!

 THE FULL BODY DETOX PLAN

Your body surely demands detoxification after New Year after exposing it to toxins through overeating, drinking alcohol, and breathing higher levels of air pollution, all while the body is being pushed to it's limits.

Take note that our liver has a limited capacity to efficiently detoxify the body on it's own. Any remaining toxins it can't handle will cause more harm and leads to undesirable symptoms like fatigue or skin issues like rapid aging.

If your goal is to look and feel younger, healthier, and radiant, we need to restore the body to its toxin-free state. Start by forming a good foundation by consistently establishing these 5 New Year's Resolutions!

1. Improve your Gut Health & Practice Mindful Eating

A recent study shockingly revealed that on Christmas day alone, each person consumes over 7,000 calories, exceeding the recommended daily limit for both men and women.

This results to unplanned weight gain, digestive issues, skin inflammation, and other health risks. It also makes an ideal environment for parasites to thrive, particularly if you intake a lot of sugar and yeast.

Counteract by maintaining a balanced and nutritious diet, staying hydrated, and using detox supplements such as Cobra Cleanse to help reset the gut, cut down inflammation, and eliminate toxins.

2. Fixing your Circadian Rhythm

It was fun to count down till the clock hits twelve, but usually we stay up past midnight during these festivities. Sacrificing your sleep for a few hours of socialization consistently is bad for your health. It disrupts your body's natural sleep-wake cycle, impairs cognitive function, negatively impacts mood, weakens the immune system, contributes to weight gain and metabolic issues, poses risks to cardiovascular health, increases stress levels, and impairs physical performance.

Maintaining a consistent sleep schedule of at least 7-9 hours per night helps support a healthy circadian rhythm. So know your limits and pay attention to how you feel during the day. If you consistently feel alert, focused, and in a good mood, you are likely getting enough sleep. On the other hand, if you experience daytime sleepiness, difficulty concentrating, or mood changes, you may need to adjust your sleep habits.

3. Stop Drinking Alcohol

Why do we always have to associate drinking alcohol with having fun during the holidays? Reducing or quitting alcohol can contribute to delaying aging by improving skin health, reducing inflammation, preserving liver function, enhancing sleep quality, maintaining cognitive function, managing weight, supporting cardiovascular health, reducing cancer risk, and promoting hormonal balance. Excessive alcohol consumption is linked to various health issues that accelerate the aging process.

Instead of Alcohol, substitute with healthier alternatives like tea, ginger shots, or mocktails which offers hydration and low-calorie options.

4. Practice Hygiene & Self-Care

When we are too busy or tired, we lack motivation or energy to exercise, do our skincare routine, or even brush our teeth! Never, ever skip these routines as it is essential for overall health. These habits contribute to a stronger immune system, reduced risk of chronic diseases, and protect the skin from environmental damage and premature aging.

Making a conscious effort to prioritize these aspects of self-care can have a positive impact on both physical and mental health. Implementing manageable routines, finding time-efficient ways to incorporate these activities, and choosing Toxic-Free Products will help reverse aging and not endanger your health.

5. Prioritize your Mental Health

Preparation and cleaning up after the celebrations can be stressful. From the financial pressure to the holiday rush, this can heighten your stress which can accelerate aging processes at the cellular level, leading to the shortening of telomeres (protective caps on chromosomes) and increased oxidative stress.

Adopting practices like meditations will not only benefit the mind but also positively influence physical health and overall well-being. Engaging in activities that promote mental resilience, emotional well-being, and a positive lifestyle can contribute to a more graceful and healthier aging process.
